What’s a mama to do: stuck at home cardio workout suggestions?
This is a question for me and my clients! How do you replace a 45-minute run (oops, sorry, all of you shouting “specificity!” right now. What do you substitute for a 45-min run?)
Climb stairs, check. Many mamas cannot do higher impact movements due to pelvic floor issues.
Do good cardio workout videos exist?
Dance! And then dance again….or???? The opportunities are endless. There are weight workouts, mixed workouts, boxing, kickboxing, and body work workouts…..la la la…..
The DVDs are endless – and you don’t have to spend money. Join your library – most have the option to go online then and you can request dvds and they notify you when they come in. I have searched for instructors, titles, and so on….just put in your preferences (ie., yoga, hip hop, cardio dance, walking, etc.) and voila – DVD ready to go once the library receives it if they don’t already have it.
So bust to move…and have some fun.
The above are all excellent recommendations. I have an additional one so that hopefully the happy mother can return to high impact activities and is not reduced to any degree of incontinence from here out. Here is a good web site:

Alternatively, check around and see whether you can find a physical therapist who specializes on this therapy.
