I just want to point out that no one has actually answered the question. In fact, as someone who has been certified through ISSA and NASM, I can tell you that you most certainly do NOT always get what you pay for. I found ISSA to be a really high quality experience. NASM is a very popular and highly regarded certification, but that doesn’t have anything to do with the quality of their education. It’s more about their connections within the industry. You can get a better education on YouTube, if you know where to go. That being said, I have found that NSCA seems to be the cheapest nationally recognized certification so far. I havent taken their course, so I can’t speak on that. But it seems like you could get certified for around $420. Most other programs will be around/at least $700.
