I have a question about pricing. I work at 5 star hotel as their personal trainer but am a independent contractor. The hotel is being reserved in a 5 day conference for a company that wants me to hold a large group fitness class for their 175 attendees (they don’t think everyone will come). They want to pay per hour instead of per person. What is a fair price to charge?
Hello Erica Mitchell,
This is hard when you don’t know how many people will attend. How much work is involved, how many quick assessments to do? What the class needs and wants or what the company hopes to gain from the sessions?
If you are a regular contractor, I assume you do not have the travel time like Karin does. I do not know what your area would support, either. This is a time to do your homework in order to find out what large group events cost previously.
I believe it should be in the $75/hour to $100/hour range due to the large number of potential participants.
Please let me know what you decide and how it went. I know you will enjoy the experience.
