What technology is the fitness industry missing?
I received a contact through my IDEAfit messages that was intriguing. He’s a software developer and asked if there was any technology that our industry is missing, in the event that he could design it.
For me, I’d love to be able to track my client’s workout compliance all in one spot. I can use PTonthenet to send workouts to clients. I can “friend” them on their fitbits and see their steps. But I’d really like to see more activity data about their weight lifting habits and how much of their “homework” weight training they were able to complete. So, an app that would let me track my clients’ workouts (not necessarily see them at the same time because I’m not comparing them to each other) would be great.
I believe there is already a good amount of apps and technology out there. But in my opinion no matter what’s out there we will never be able to make our clients stay accountable for their workouts. This is the reason why they came to us in the first place. Human interaction is the best way to help them stay focused and on track of achieving their goals and like Karin said we are not nannies (that was funny by the way).
