Wow, there are so many to choose from, along with suppliers. They are all comparable and do the intended job. I chose the tool with the widest measurement capability similar to what we used in class. A google search will bring up good quality devices from reputable sources who offer discounts to trainers. Remember, we get what we pay for; so, choose wisely…professional quality.

Cheaper calipers can apply different pressure at different measurement widths, and so consistent pressure is a key feature. The other is accuracy of measurement. Skinfolds are inherently not very accurate, due to human error, and so minimising the amount a device contributes is crucial.
