What should I expect when attending the 2013 East Coast Personal Trainer Conference?
Hi Elizabeth,
congratulations! You will be in for a treat!
You have obviously signed up already. A few months prior to the conference, you will get an e-mail inviting you to do your session selection. You will be confronted by a choice of sessions per time slot, and since this is your first time, you will probably be totally overwhelmed and having the hardest time to choose between sessions all of which you want to attend. After you have made your heart-wrenching choices, you can still change your mind and change the session selection unless the sessions are already at capacity. In fact, you can still change your sessions at the conference where you can ‘stand-by’ for a last minute change. More often than not, you’ll get in.
The process is very well organized and easy to follow even if it is your first time.
I am looking forward to seeing you at the 2014 Personal Trainer Institute. I have signed up already, too.

While I have not been to East, I have attended West and World. My biggest suggestion is taking at least 1 workshop about something you know little to nothing about – or use very little currently.
I had attended other workshops in the past and always took TRX, bootcamp, HIIT, BOSU classes. Things I was familiar with. After attending a Myofascial Release workshop with Justin Price simply because my friends were – my outlook on training changed. Justin Price has become one of my favorite presenters.
Hope you have fun! West was my favorite event I have attended!
