I’m vegan, and in the process of loosing body fat, i’ve decided to try soy protein powder because i just can’t reach my daily protein goal. So i have a few questions, first is it ok to drink protein shakes 3-4 times a week? Can i eat a little something while drinking a protein shake? (Like one slice of whole wheat bread with a teaspoon of natural peanut butter or sugar free jam)
I plan to consider these calories as a part of the amount of calories i should eat in a day. I’ll appreciate any advice you can give me 🙂
My suggestion for you is to have your protein shake with 1 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk with 2-3 strawberries or a handful of blueberries with 1 tea-spoon of peanut butter or almond butter. That’s all you need in a good healthy-vegan protein shake. Rich in healthy fat,carbs and protein. And as long as it is not a meal substitute you can have it 3-4 times a week.
