typically, the first interaction with a new is over the phone. The potential client describes what prompted him or her to contact me. I ask about medical issues, goals and circumstances in order to evaluate whether I consider myself to be a good match for the client (for example, I do not train teenagers and will refer out) or whether our schedules even permit training. We then make an appointment to meet and I send a contract which has questions about medical and exercise history and lifestyle.
When I meet the client, I use the answers from the contract as a starting point to answer more questions.
