And if you don’t like the headset mic, I would attempt to try other mic set ups before buying one. I found lapel/clip on mic set ups to be unreliable when I really get moving.
I use a headset, but I clip the transmitter on the back of a ball cap on my head. I gather up the wire and make secure. Then I don’t have the wire flopping around or end up laying on the transmitter.
If you haven’t already found your product since this is an older thread, here is who we use for the gyms where I work. Mics for fitness is their business.
SHURE has a clip on microphone but it is rather expensive. You can easily find sources when you google it.
Personally, I use a headset, and while I do not like it when I demonstrate anything lying down, I am quite happy with it otherwise.
