What kind of dual cable cross machine should I purchase for my fitness studio?
I’m a huge fan of FreeMotion cable machines, too! Travis is right, they’re some of the most versatile machines on the market (in my opinion).
The studio I train out of has what I believe to be an older version of the “light commercial” model you’re asking about. I just searched for “FreeMotion light commercial ext dual cable cross” on Amazon and the product I saw in the results looked nearly identical to the one in our studio. The only difference was that our machine adjusts the x-axis of the cable with a foot pedal at the bottom of the machine.
The studio has had their FreeMotion for well over 5 years and we haven’t run into any major mishaps with it. All that’s had to be taken care of is routine maintenance (to the best of my knowledge). It’s a great piece of equipment that fits nicely up against a wall or can easily be tucked away in a corner depending on the layout of your facility.
Let me know if you have any other specific questions and I’d be happy to give you my thoughts.
Hi Jessica,
I also love Freemotion but I did not have the height in my studio and ended up buying a machine by Paramount http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://ifsfit.com/upload/imagens/200…. What I like better about it than the Freemotion is that I can move the arms in and out rather than just up and down on a fixed angle.
