What kind of clients would I market to for training during daytime hours (7:30am – 4:00pm)?
I am a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I understand that the nature of the fitness business is that the majority of clients are available early mornings or in the evenings. For some reasons beyond my control, those times can be particularly hard for me to work with. I am looking to train people during daytime hours, say 7:30am-4:00pm. What kind of clients would be available during those times and how could I market myself to them? Thanks!
I own my studio. There is a difference if you own your studio or travel to different studios to train people. Most morning individuals are stay at home moms, retired, or shift workers. With owning my studio I have found a morning crowd as mentioned. But, then I have a large gap of time until, about 3pm when many people are through working. That gap in time can be a loss of capital if you employ trainers and, utilities. I live and operate in a smaller town. It may be different in a larger city. Nurses that work shifts or a steady shift can be a great resource. I am located between two hospitals. if you train independent you may want to see if you can work near a hospital. if you get one nurse, more will come. Try to find a promo that will attract nurses or student nurses, they usually are nice to train.
