What kind of clients would I market to for training during daytime hours (7:30am – 4:00pm)?
I am a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I understand that the nature of the fitness business is that the majority of clients are available early mornings or in the evenings. For some reasons beyond my control, those times can be particularly hard for me to work with. I am looking to train people during daytime hours, say 7:30am-4:00pm. What kind of clients would be available during those times and how could I market myself to them? Thanks!
Hi Melanie,
Although in our profession the early AM and late afternoon to evening hours are usually the best times for training clients, it doesn’t mean that during the day hours it won’t work. Some of the types of clients available during the daytime are stay-home moms, individuals who have a lot of flexibility on their schedule (people who work from home), maybe some corporate fitness opportunities as well, any type of fitness classes at various gyms which are looking for instructors and then people who are retired (usually seniors and older). Community centers are also a good idea to keep in mind, because they are always looking for instructors to teach classes there.
I hope this helps. Good luck!
Harris
