In most states, such a certification demonstrates that you have made an effort to understand more about nutrition but you are not allowed to give specific counseling. It certainly would improve your marketability as a personal trainer, though.
It is great that you have persued greater knowledge in the wellness field. Do you have any personal training certifications? Without an understanding of what other skills and tools you offer I’ll say that while a nutrition course does add to your value, it is, in and of itself, not enough to market yourself as a personal trainer or an expert in nutrition. You will want to further your education no matter what town you live in.
