What is your definition of “Healthy”
All great answers. Vigorous physical activity (within the envelope of one’s condition,) sensible eating most of the time (barbecue spare ribs are a great treat once in awhile!) and a thankful, hopeful attitude are the foundation of being and living healthy. Drink plenty of water. Most of us don’t.
I believe that healthy is a combination of several things. A well rounded diet of real unprocessed foods filled with colorful fruits and vegetables and lean proteins. It also includes consistent regular movement (exercise). Whether that’s walking outside, dancing with a fiend or swimming with the kids. It’s moving stretching, and the best exercise includes laughter. The final part is mental/spiritual. Quiet time with yourself. Spend it with a book, taking a nap, with the bible, time at church, meditation or in a bathtub. Time to relax the mind and quiet the soul. A well rounded life that can be lived to your fullest potential.
For me “healthy” is a state of physical being and a state of mind. Having a ‘functional’ body (one that is capable of doing what a body is intended to do, and that can serve the purposes for which I need it), and a positive attitude about life in general and myself as a person. This is ‘health’ to me.
