Hi Amanda,
We provide top notch fitness training services regardless of the season. You’re right – we can’t afford to lose clients any time of year – nobody can.

Hi Amanda,
There are things you can do to help retain clients in the summer. For example special promotions, continued communication with clients, etc. (I did read your attached article), but summer in general is just going to be a little slower. Service should always be top notch and we can continue to motivate and empower clients even if they take a break in the summer.
I’m just wondering if you are also selling something along with your question?
Christine
For me it doesn’t make any difference what the season is. If my clients reach their goals for the summer, I set new ones for them. One thing I like to do for them is to encourage them to keep signing up for different races throughout the year (one different and more difficult from the previous ones). This keeps them motivated and also helps them set new limits and goals.
Hello Amanda F,
We retain clients by always pushing for another goal. There are so many options to choose from, that the workouts can be changed at the drop of a hat, which is necessary many times due to illness, injury and weather. Different equipment choices help keep things fresh. Not enough can be said for rapport.
Take care,
Natalie aka NAPS 2 B Fit.
Hi Amanda,
I think the most important thing is staying engaged with your members. Keeping good rapport. Doing the little things like going to members while working out and saying hello. Sending out emails. Making phone calls. Being proactive and not reactive. Taking the initiative to provide value to your customer base. I wrote a blog about this stuff, check it out.
