I think the point is to not just do something “just because.”
With so much information readily available it is very easy to get caught up in doing the “cool” looking exercise or following the popular plan of the time. In my opinion, any baboon could follow the workout of the day but that doesn’t mean that it is the correct out most effective thing for them toprescribe. If someone is paying you money, you owe it to them to show some concern and make workouts that designed for them.
