what is the difference between a static assessment and a movement assessment?
I think the point is to not just do something “just because.”
With so much information readily available it is very easy to get caught up in doing the “cool” looking exercise or following the popular plan of the time. In my opinion, any baboon could follow the workout of the day but that doesn’t mean that it is the correct out most effective thing for them toprescribe. If someone is paying you money, you owe it to them to show some concern and make workouts that designed for them.
Hope that helps,
Jeremy
You’re the physical therapist. What do you think? Gail’s response is so complete. Static implies no movement, movement obviously implies motion. if I observe a patient’s position at the beginning of an exercise, that’s a static observation. As I watch and coach her through the exercise, that’s a movement analysis. What’s your point?
A static posture assessment identifies how your body is aligned and identifies four main types of posture deviations-anterior and posterior pelvic tilt, and elevation and rotation posture. A dynamic assessment shows how well a person moves and how well your joints and muscles move in relation to each other.
