Nutrition certifications only get you so far – legally & professionally. If Nutrition counseling is what you want to do, I would take the formal education route and become a Registered Dietician. That just carries so much more cache than a certification & will open up a lot more doors. But if you’re a fitness trainer simply looking to acquire more knowledge in Nutrition, then a certification in Nutrition would no doubt be helpful. It all depends on what you want to do.
