What do you look for in a personal trainer?
Common Sense, Education, and a brain.
Some people look for the trainer that looks the most fit. And I agree that trainers should stay healthy. But two years ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and was in an accident. It took two years to rehab.. and the weight is challenging at this time. I workout everyday and eat healthy, but my doctor said I would be lucky if I lost any weight, but if I lost a pound a month I should be happy. Well, that was not good enough for me, so I am determined to continued having hope.
My point is, I am still a personal trainer and helping others improve their lives through training and conditioning.
Never judge a book by its cover. Look for credentials, education, personality, success stories, and most of all compassion. This is not a “cookie cutter” business that we are in. If you can’t give your client 100% you are in the wrong industry.
