I transition my clients. I take them ice skating to the trampoline park to pretty parks with lots of built in stations. I teach them to use their body weight as resistance and encourage playful types of exercise before getting them into crazy routines. Make sure you take them out early in the morning or later in the evening so that it’s not too hot. Most people are shy at first exercising in public so keep that in mind before taking them to busier spots. Good luck!! I have had great luck with training outside! Love it!!
I work in corporate fitness and during the Spring, Summer and Fall we usually conduct lunchtime walks in and around the corporate facility. It gets many of the employees that don’t necessarily use the gym to get away from their desks and join us.
If we are running a Boot Camp class that is usually held indoors, we may take it outside if it’s a particularly nice day!
