What clients complain to you the most about losing weight?
Hi Denise,
This would be more a challenge versus a complaint! My clients are mostly females, and the majority of them are in their 40s and 50s. The most difficult thing they convey to me about losing weight at this age has a lot to do with changing hormones and how difficult it is to lose weight. It’s not only a matter of calories in and calories out, but fluctuating hormones can really play a role–and challenge–a woman’s goal to lost weight. Balancing hormones can be tricky, but women can be successful it just takes time and knowledge.
Hope this helps.
Best,
Christine
Hey there Denise,
As Robert said above: all situations are different. Some are just habits, others portion control, lack of education (they don’t really know they are eating 90% carbs), not enough activity or desk jobs.
Best way to help the client is to keep asking questions, keep providing information and feedback.
Best,
Kimber
Good question. I think it really depends on the client, as every client is dealing with their own issues. For some, it may be portion control, for others it may be a lack of support from friends and family. I believe it’s important to cover these topics when you first sit down with a client. Make sure to ask open ended questions in order gain a better understanding of what they struggle with. Once you know their struggles, you can then form to build a plan with the client on how to attack those issues. I think it’s important to listen to your clients in order to understand how you can better help them accomplish their goals. While some may enjoy you checking in on them daily and giving them daily reminders about their diet, others may feel overwhelmed, so make sure you talk to your client about what may help them. Not everyone is the same.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
