What career opportunities are out there now for a woman over 50 in good shape a lic massage therapist/trainer/instructor?
Need some advice, move quite a bit/since turning 50 a few yrs ago have had some aches/pains catch up with me but still in good shape/exercise everyday but due to some issues have not been able to work for past 2 yrs and want to still help others feel good but on a more flex schedule; mainly as a trainer/love senior population over hardcore weight lifting now; can you help? Thank u Linda/LMT/PT/FT feel lost on how to handle my situation
I am 57 years old and am doing very well as a personal trainer. One big thing in my favor is my age. Most of my clients are right there with me, and that is where th demographics for personal training is. They also feel that they can relate to me better than to a person mych younger.
But you need to treat this as a business. You did not enter a profile but say that you are a massage therapist. If you do not have a personal trainer certification, I recommend you get one. A combination of personal training and massage is a winning pair.
I wish you good luck.
