What can a personal trainer expect to make hourly?
This is a very important topic for my consideration of personal training, I realize that alot goes into how much you can make. This is the job I plan to have while in college therefore I need to have the ability to pay for my rent at the very least, main point of this is as a first time personal trainer with a nationaly accredited certification would it be reasonable to expect to make $1000 a month working no more than 30 hours a week?
Hi again Logan,
Just wanted to pass along one additional thought for you….
If you plan to teach or train (or both), the upside to fitness is you can set your own hours. This also happens to be a down side as well. Teaching and training hours are not necessarily back to back, so you may find yourself traveling back and forth a bit, as opposed to getting a large block of hours (which may work for you in a big gym). You may have a very scattered schedule as people train and take classes from early morning through the evening hours.
Sounds like you do have a passion for fitness which will work to your benefit, so it may be a beneficial way for you to earn money while in college. Good luck!
