What can a personal trainer expect to make hourly?
This is a very important topic for my consideration of personal training, I realize that alot goes into how much you can make. This is the job I plan to have while in college therefore I need to have the ability to pay for my rent at the very least, main point of this is as a first time personal trainer with a nationaly accredited certification would it be reasonable to expect to make $1000 a month working no more than 30 hours a week?
At minimum I would expect even low end Personal Trainng positions to begin at $15/hr. As you would be just starting out, it would wise to keep any other job you have and build into the PT over time. Or possible get a part time job and then work into the PT career. If you take some time to gain the skills, you could be making much more than that in a reasonably short amount of time. I would look at this as a long range income position. And I know an accountant and a nurse who also work as Personal Trainers. It can more than a job. Personally, I am have to degrees and have coach and taught fitness all along.
