My assessment is quite thorough and indepth, that is the only way to properly train a client based on his needs and goals.
It usually depends on the client and if any medical issues or limitations they might have. But in general, I check their Body weight, Body fat %, functional screening, strength and endurance level, flexibility and Blood Pressure. Every six weeks I do a similar assessment and then I take the appropriate steps to make sure they are on the right track of improving their fitness and overall level.
It depends on the client and where they are in their journey. I always take heart rate and blood pressure. After that the decision of which assessments/measurements to take are guided by their HHQ, Physician referral info, their personal preferences, their interests and goals, conversations between us, etc.
