What are your thoughts on dairy? Should it be avoided?
I’ve heard a lot of controversial things about dairy, although I don’t think there is a lot of research to support it. I recently cut out dairy for about a year while nursing. I felt good and dropped some weight, although I’m not sure if it was the dairy or just cutting out a food group and therefore decreasing calories without really thinking about it. What are your thoughts on dairy?
I understand there are lots of controversial about dairy but it should not be judged by take up dairy or not. Instead, a daily consume of how many calories from dairy should be taken in count. Some dairy are good for example plain (low fat) yogurt which helps in food digestion; low fat milk which are high in calcium (good for your bones) and high in protein but all these are low in calories and fats. Here I have a good website to share with you about:

I don’t. In fact, as a vegetarian, I get a fair amount of protein from dairy products and are not worse off for it.
If you suspect that you have an issue with dairy products, you can always conduct your own test. You indicated that you were not sure whether some of your reasons of feeling better were actually caused by the elimination of dairy products in your diet. Try to control those variables and see whether it works for you. Obviously, as long as you get the appropriate nutrients in your diet, it is possible to go without dairy, as lactose intolerant people have to do.

I think that in general, it’s fine to consume dairy products. I would only avoid this food group if I had “issues” with digesting it – which fortunately, I do not.
