What are your favorite partner or team exercises in boot camp?
Although there are infinite combinations that you can incorporate to your sessions, here is one of my favorite: buddy carry. This is used in the military when a fellow soldier is injured and needs to be carried out of the field. Not everyone can execute this exercise, but it’s great to throw it in there for those who can and it helps with team building along with many other physiological benefits (great for core, legs and upper body strength and conditioning). This exercise can also be done with a team of 3 or even 4 people.
We put our boot campers in groups: they form a circle interlocking elbows. We take one from the group and have them turn around, separate from the others, while we put a scarf or glove in the back pocket/pants of one of the boot campers in the group. The solo person then returns and has to pull the item out of the pants while the group runs in a circle in all directions trying to not allow this to happen. It creates tons of laughter and camaraderie.
Each boot camper has their turn to try.
We also use hills for drills. One person runs up the hill while their partner does a series of exercises below, then they switch.
Hi Karen,
Here are a few from this site to give you some ideas:

I also use the following for fun:
–Squat and high five jump
–Partners facing each other for a push-up. Push-up and clap opposite hand of partner.
–A “game” I call 5,10,15,20. (Using any number of exercises). Have them line up and do 5 push-ups, run down to the end of the gym and back (or pre-set distance if outside).
Then, 5 push-ups, plus 10 burpees. Run down and back. 5 Push-ups, 10 burpees, and 15 tuck jumps. Run down and back. 5 push-ups, 10 burpees, 15 tuck jumps and 20 lunge jumps. One more run down and back. Great as a finisher!
Hope some of these help!
Christine
