what are the main values of fitness professionals and fitness entrepreneur?
I agree with Natalie’s post above 100%…but I would like to add in a few “unwritten rules” that I think are very important as well.
#1- If you don’t know how to train a specific client- refer out. This not only shows that this client can trust you with what you DO know, it also shows that you are caring about the client and not just the money. It instills trust and great word of mouth advertising.
#2- Keep your personal life “personal”. We are there for the clients, not the other way around. Nobody wants to train with a drama king/queen for very long.
#3- Do NOT train “under the table” at established gyms/facilities. It’s rude to the existing employed trainers, opens up liabilities, and shows clients that your ethical standards are sub- par. After all, if you are willing to sneak around training…then what else are you willing to do?
