As suggested by the excellent answers, your question covers a myriad of factors included under the heading of “lifestyle.” Fitness, nutrition, career, attitude, relaxation & stress management, family relations are just some of them. Some, like Karin’s ACE Lifestyle & Weight Mgmt Coach certification focus on helping design and implement healthy activity/fitness & nutrition lifestyle choices as the may impact a lifetime of achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight.

I am a life coach and find it to be a wonderful way to help people move forward toward various goals. There are so many types of coaching opportunities; personally, I recommend sticking with what you’ve had experience with. Professional and personal experience make an enormous difference.

Life coaching can vary from relationship coaching to coach new business owners within a specific industry. As others have said, there are specialties involving health, fitness, and wellness. If that’s the direction you’re heading, you can be as specific as you want as long as you can find the clients.

I took my coaching through Wellcoaches. It was a course that took 13 weeks and it is based upon principles of positive psychology.

With the Wellcoach approach one coaches one through the nine areas of wellness:
