What are the best resources to help assist a client with Ehlers Danlos?
I have a client with ED- hypermobility and working out is very difficult for her. I understand that she needs low impact, stable, light weights, no yoga or pilates, and swimming is beneficial. However, how can I continue to safely get her to workout so that she is not in pain the following days? I am hoping that someone has gone through this same experience and has advice or excellent resources that I can check out. I really appreciate your help! Thanks!
Hi Nicole,
I don’t know much about Ehlers Danlos Disorder but I did some reading about it. It appears that there are different levels of severity of this disease. Off the top of my head I would tell you that the best resource for helping her would be to get input from her physician and physical therapist. I would get in touch with her physician first & take it from there. I’m sure, between both of them, you’ll get a good idea of how to proceed. Good luck Nicole, I hope things work out for the best.
