Forgive me for saying so but I found the wording of this question somewhat ‘unusual’. Am I to assume that you are looking for an exercise the entire purpose of which is to be painful during its execution? Or are you looking for exercises that will be the most beneficial for your clients after you had determined through an assessment that there is a special need to improve the functioning of the adductors and abductors in the contect of the entire hip function?
Hey Jonathan! I think it is important to understand where the origin and insertion of the muscle group you’d like to train, as well as its function and then you can perform exercises that will challenge your clients. That is, of course, using the principles of exercise prescription.
I am sure you are familiar with how you can manipulate acute variables in order to progress a particular movement.
