personal trainer rates vary quite a bit depending on many variables such as: city they live in, business they train at; gym vs private studio, or in-home visits, if they are independent contractors or gym employees, how much experience, certifications, and specialties they posses and other reasons. Most trainers are pretty comparable to other trainers in the area they live in if they fall in the same category. If a trainer charges too little you might want to check their credentials first to see if they are even certified as some states such as Florida do not require a personal trainer to have a certification to train or keep their certifications up to date.
