I enjoy very much type of movements that require a measure of speed, agility and quickness. I enjoy movements like tumbling, and cartwheels. Stuff like, double dutch, short sprints, anything that is short, quick and requires power. I sometimes wish there was a ball pit for adults.
I tried doing the trapeze not too long ago and it was so much fun. When I was younger and doing power lifts I enjoyed that as well. I don’t think there is a movement per se that I enjoy, as far as the outcome is concerned. I simply enjoy the movement.
Thanks your for your question.
Overall the exercises I enjoy most are outdoor related sports like surfing, volleyball, tennis and hiking. These diciplines give me a boost, body, mind and spirit.
In the gym I love the following exercises for both their movement feel, and effectiveness:
high chair for abs, roman chair for obliques, quadratus lumborum and erector spinae, pushups for that little area where my pecs insert laterally, Smith machine lunges for the lower bod and backside tone, lateral dumbbell raises, or pully raises, to give me delt definition (because anything overhead becomes problematic), long pull row for lats, and rear delts flys for posture.
Personally I LOVE leg raises for abdominal exercises, chops for overall core, and Fly’s for chest work. Leg raises because they cover the entire abdominal region when executed properly. Chops because to me, they’re total body when done accurately. I love fly’s because I feel like they truly stretch each fiber that intertwines to develop nice pectorals! 🙂
