Personally I like the compound exercises (Lunge + Overhead Press, Plank + Rows) and full body movements (Burpees, bear crawl, e.g.) best. I still perform/teach some single joint exercises but it’s definitely not my base.
back squat, front squat, deadlift, power cleans, snatches, military press, dumbell rows, dips, pullups. These are all very effective and once people start to see the results possible fromt hem everybody starts to like them.
