What are some of the most unique places that you have trained a client? How effective was it?
Thank you everyone for your great feedback. You have inspired me to think outside of the box and ignite my creativity. Outdoor workouts appear to be a favorite. I am now more eager to challenge my clients to push past their boundaries and train outside, even if the New England weather can be a bit chilly. Some of my clients suffer from seasonal effective disorder and increase sunlight expose is a must for mood! I especially like the suggestion of training clients in the snow and using unstable environments like waves. Thanks again and looking forward to more suggestions.

I’ve done bootcamps outdoors which is a great change of pace. For a few classes I took them to a local park and we used the playground equipment for all sorts of exercises. The swing became a great unstable place for them to place their feet for planks and knee tucks. Benches were great for step ups and tricep dips, and the sand volleyball area a great place for medicine ball drills. The outdoors was very effective and the terrain is different than a gym.
Very effective!
A kitchen 🙂 Yep, a kitchen (I truly meet and train my clients wherever they are!).

I love working out outdoors with clients. I love using nature, the elements and natural terrain to change up the workouts and show clients that they can get a workout in anywhere.
I don’t know about unique, but I worked with a client in the ocean once. Talk about challenging stability when you have waves!
