I think if you are looking for strength conditioning books there really are a few that come to mind right away.
1. Starting Strength by Rippetoe—kind of a bible when it comes to barbell lifts but without scientific jargon.
2. Supple Leopard by Starrett—more current but continues where Rip’s book leaves off. Has tons of fixes that a trainer can use.
3. Supertraining by Siff—eastern bloc research and application of various forms of strength training.a little more technical but just tons of information.
4 Designing Resistance Training Programs by Kraemer—Kraemer was considered the god father of strength training research in America for awhile
5. Movement by Cook—
