I’ve been using the TRX for a few years now.
I was using it for personally before getting certified and offering it when personal training at the corporate wellness center where I am employed.
As a martial artist I use it for my core & flexibility training.
I also used it for my own physical therapy when I had frozen shoulder last year. I found it offered me far better results and a more speedier recovery then working with my PT 😉
I actually purchased a Total Gym at a tag sale the other day and still find the TRX far more challenging for certain exercises performed with it.
I chose the Jungle Gym XT over the TRX because of its extended variety. Its made of 2 separate straps so you can have them as wide or narrow as you’d like. The TRX only gave the narrow option and that just wasn’t good enough for my clientele. Now there isn’t many exercises that can’t be performed by ALL of my clients.
