The problems with being a fitness business owner
Hey guys, I hope you can help. I’m tyring to list 100 problems experienced by fitness business owners. I have 10 so far and would love if you can post more…
The 10 I have so far are:
Getting clients
keeping clients
Finding good team
Managing the team
Finding a gym/studio location
Managing cashflow
Keeping profit
Getting out of debt
Too much work
Not enough time
Being a business person when you are in the business to help people. People don’t always mean to take advantage of our natural tendency to give free advice. But you can’t give away too much for free and still make a living. I estimate that over the 40 yeats that I have been coaching and training clients, I have given some where between 10,000 and 15,000 hours of my time away to questions and local organizations. Even now, I am answering this and many other questions without thinking about payment. In here it is kind of a hobby. I try to keep it to a minimum now. I will answer a question or two, if they aren’t going to take much time. But if someone wants more than two questions answered. Or more than two minutes of my time. I try to suggetst they contact me to set up an appoinment.
Hi Simon,
here is my contribution:
Staying motivated to do the things you tell the clients to do 😉
