I’m in the process of studying for the CES exam and, for those who have already taken it, I would like some suggestions of what to focus on with my studies. Right now, I’m focusing on making sure I understand the compensations and rational for what to inhibit/activate. Any other suggestions? Should I be working on memorizing muscle actions, origins, insertions, etc?
I have this certification. From the best of my recollection, your focus on understanding compensations and the rationales for it are more important than to memorize which muscle attaches to which part of the bone. You should have internalized, though, that muscles can operate in different ways, depending on the action.
Good luck with your exam.
