studying for the NASM CES exam…
I’m in the process of studying for the CES exam and, for those who have already taken it, I would like some suggestions of what to focus on with my studies. Right now, I’m focusing on making sure I understand the compensations and rational for what to inhibit/activate. Any other suggestions? Should I be working on memorizing muscle actions, origins, insertions, etc?
Hello Eileen Bochsler,
I studied through ACE, not NASM; but, I am sure my technique will work for you. I made sure to know everything inside and out. Knowing the muscle actions and insertions is what our job is about; yes, know that. Questions are asked in many forms so you need to know everything to be able to put it to proper use: test taking and working with clients. Study what you do not know. Then study some more. This way you go in prepared and confident; after starting the test, you should find yourself relaxing and going with the flow.
Good luck to you.
Take care,
Natalie aka NAPS 2 B Fit.
