State of the art for fitness centers?
Hi Catherine,
Can you elaborate more? I’m not sure what do you mean by state of the art? There are hundreds (if not thousands) of clubs and studios around the country (and the world) that have the latest equipment and some of them are built in a way that you’ll never think they are fitness facilities. For example you can check the following gyms and get some ideas:
These are just a few to name. I can provide you with a larger list if you wish, but it all depends as to what you are looking to include in your facility as well as the size and the theme of your business. Also the demographics which you are targeting, the budget and the location (area) of your business are important when designing a facility. One of the above gyms (spark fitness) has a Green theme, meaning is energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The Dave Barton gyms are all about looks and image, so their marketing and branding is based around that (including the layout of their gyms). East Bank is considered one of the best gyms in the country and they offer everything under their roof. Equinox have done some great changes in their gyms, their image and style the last few years and it shows in the designing of their gyms and their branding.
There are numerous smaller PT studios that are a state of the art but in much smaller scale. I hope this help with your question.
Best,
Harris
