I find that teaching the client awareness about their TVA (and to use it isolated from RA, IO, EO, etc.) and the ability to contract and hold it with each exhale and then with normal breath is the most beneficial. I forget where I heard that it takes 30-40% of compression off discs when contracted…. Its the back’s natural brace!!!
