my club has been recently approached about adding nutrition tracking to our personal training offerings but I’m not quite sure if it’s going to be worth the investment. The software is supposed to help trainers recommend diet options for members while also helping members keep track of their nutrition intake to help them better reach their fitness goals. Does anyone have experience with a similar program?
Do you have anyone on staff that is a nutritionist or dietician?
Even if I didn’t have a pause with scope of practice for a non-nutritionist giving meal plans to members (I do) and even if I knew the software was really effective and could account for allergies, sensitivities, illnesses, preferences, etc. I wouldn’t do it.
There’s no substitute for human interaction. So much of our diet is psychological, not just in the planning of the meal.
