Should I include static stretches in a dynamic workout?

Yes. They will be effective post-workout.

Hi Ashley. Your question is a bit confusing in that you seem to be asking about how static stretching relates to an actual workout (not dynamic warm-up) – TRUE? If so, then yes, static stretching is definitely beneficial post-workout as Joanne has indicated above. If your question is really intended to ask about static stretching as it relates to dynamic WARM-UPS, then my answer would be different.

I would say no, the dynamic workout can be be done to progress from a warm up to cool down. Which would really make no need for static stretches.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say SHOULD. COULD definitely, but it wouldn’t be necessary. If you do, just be sure it is at the end of the workout.

The idea that static stretching should only be incorporated post-workout is fallacious. One needs to peer at the research more closely before jumping to this conclusion.
