Self-Care – what do you do for yourself or recommend for your clients?
Besides exercise and proper nutrition, I also get yearly doctor’s check-ups, a monthly massage, practice yoga once a week and use the foam roller daily. I encourage all of my clients to participate in these same activities.
I also try to get 7-9 hours of sleep each night, read and participate in activities I enjoy on a daily basis. These things help me relax and unwind from the daily stressors of life. I encourage all my clients to do the same. To find activities they enjoy and to share these things with others.
I also go to church each week to refuel my spirit and journal when the feeling arises to clear my mind. As my life gets busier each year, I’ve found these two things becoming more important. They help me prioritize my daily, weekly, monthly, yearly tasks/goals. They’ve also provided me with opportunities to brainstorm new ideas.
