I think that it’s important to learn how to relax and rest. Today’s society is so high-energy, get it now, do as much as you can, multi-task… that many people simply don’t know how to relax. I am called the “King of Relaxation” by my friends because I make it a point to take the time to not only set and achieve goals, exercise regularly, etc. but ALSO to relax, take time for myself, eat well with home-cooked, well-prepared food, communicate IN-PERSON often with friends (which in the age of text, blogs, email etc. seems to be becoming a lost art), enjoy a variety of entertainment and activities (in other words, while I’m very passionate about fitness, exercise and wellness, I think it’s important to get away from it from time-to-time and enjoy some of the other pleasures in life), read and write as part of self-reflection, and any other way that I can enjoy life’s simple pleasures.
