I would like to interview a personal trainer who specializes in online training/coaching. This interview appear on my website. My goal of the interview is to help other trainers who are interested in branching out into this field. If you would like to be featured in this interview, email me and I will send you a set of questions.
At the risk of more disgruntled feedback, I would like the word “Personal” removed from this type of online profit business. There is very little “personal” aspect to it. The people almost never actually meet. Even if there is two way video in use, the extremely important three dimensional observation of the activity is impossible. This type of training is most often simply an exerciser watching a video and attempting to perform exercises. That is not personal training.
Hi count me in my email is [email protected]
Just to elaborate a bit, I have to agree with Martin a bit, there is no way online training is going to replace hands-onn training .
However with over 20years global experience in training professional athletes, high profile clients, general population, presenting, authoring etc .. as long as your client is a healthy individual without any medical / injury history past or present and has solid base in fitness, I would consider training them after an interview.
In my Online platform clients have animations,my YT, webcam option so that I could monitor them and instruct in the initial stages of the program which usually consist of 3-4 weeks, with a sensible eating plan .
This is a much better option than them purchasing DVDs, trying to copy routines from social media etc..
If the client & trainer is comfortable with consent forms& standard of care is reasonable it’s green light.
However I cater to a limited number so I could personally monitor them with quality.
