Hello all! Do any of you have insight as to whether Quest Bars, the P90X Protein Bar or Cliff Bar Builders Bars are better in terms of nutrition? I know all 3 have some amount of sugar but I also don’t want one that’s too high in calories either (they can be just as addicting as regular candy bars haha!) I just want to see which one I should have on hand while traveling. Thanks for your input!
I agree with Sue on this. I typically go the whole foods route as much as possible with my clients. Most of these protein bars have proteins made out of soy isolate (a very processed form of food.) Many of them also have sugar alcohol and isolated fibers, such as inulin, that will cause GI upset and gas. It’s hard to find a good wholesome protein bar with little processed ingredients.
Look for the bars with the least amount of ingredients, made with mainly whole foods.
