proposal country club fitness center
Hi Marianne. Congratulations! I have been presenting clinics and conditioning classes to local organizations (including country clubs) for several years. I just conducted a clinic for a country club a couple of months ago. I’d recommend keeping your proposal short and sweet (unless they ask for more). I’d be happy to give you some outline ideas if you’d like to contact me offline (see my email address below).
I would recommend taking a few moments to sit down with pen and paper and draft your thoughts on what types of services/programs they are interested in (have you asked them this question yet?), and how you can meet each of those needs. Second any discussions that you’ve had with them regarding numbers of participants would be helpful in your pricing model. I generally start by thinking of the amount that I want to make from the program and then figuring levels of participation and pricing for each level to get me to that amount.
Much more involved in all of this that we can “discuss” offline.
I hope that this helps and at least gets you started in the right direction. Again congratulations on the potential business!

I just did something similar for a local youth group. Like LaRue said, think first about what it is that you can provide (group classes, seminars, bringing in speakers, personal training, etc). Then identify why you are the person who can provide these services. What makes you uniquely qualified for the position? Think about what you would charge (what you want to make, what the club would take, etc)? Also think about any equipment or room requirements you would need.
Take a look at what type of services they already provide, who they promote themselves to, the area they’re located and how you can help them improve upon these or add to these services. Why are they interested in having you write them up a proposal? If you can answer that question, then you have your proposal. What need are they looking for you to fill?
Good luck!
Hi Marianne, this sounds like an exciting opportunity for you! I have written a number of proposals for my current corporate fitness center and have experience working in a country club setting. I would be happy to share some outlines/examples with you to establish a starting point. It might help get the creative juices flowing so you can apply your ideas and local research pertaining to that specific country club. Feel free to contact me through my FitnessConnect page.
I have 23 years of management experience, commercial , country club and private studio.Your proposal should have specific content as to what you will/want to offer the members. You need to recognize every market and their needs( age appropriate programs) .You should already have current knowledge of the members and the dominant age groups(at my club 55%of membership was over 60 )Also know the GM and his thoughts and perceptions of a fitness center. Is it going to be a profit center for the club?Is it going to be an amenity that is offered free to members and they pay extra for your services?Lots to consider ,be glad to help in any way, good luck.
