I saw you are located in England. I believe you could use some of the same techniques as if you were living in the States. Here are few ideas for you:
-Join a networking group to get in front of other people and businesses.
-Visit doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists and massage therapists to add them to your contacts and let them know who you are and the types of clients you are interested to work with. You could also offer a discount to clients who were referred by any of the above group of professionals.
-Meet with coaches who teach around your area on various sports (soccer, basketball, swimming, track and field, etc.) to let them know that you would be interested in working with their athletes (if this is something that is interesting to you).
-Do a press release to a local magazine, newspaper or community newsletter explaining your expertise, your business and how you could help any potential clients with their goals. Also of any discounts you are willing to give to those who will respond to the press release.
-Offer incentives to clients who refer to you someone else (maybe a free sessions or a gift card or a discount, etc.).
-If there are races that are taking place in a location close to where you operate, you could include coupons in the packages that all the participants usually get and has many free or discounted deals from the sponsors of the race (in other words it might worth for you to spent a few pounds to become one of the sponsors).
-Wear t-shirts with your logo on them when you go out in public places. You could even add your logo and your contact information on you car (both are free advertisements for you).
-Offer an open house one day and either invite people to come at your studio or leave the invitation open to anyone who would like to come by.
-Put flyers at different coffee shops, apartment complexes, community centers (if it’s allowed), sporting/athletic stores, medical offices, etc.
-If you live in a small community donate a few sessions at a fundraising event as part of their silent auction they might have available in order to raise money.

Hi. I think you can get good results by being a success at achieving client goals. I used to work with client and show off my work when her goal was reached. word spreads fast. I think this provides a good foundation for future business. Harris has many good ideas I did too. but, word of mouth I think is the best. Good luck.
